It's important to know what to do to get along when you're living with others, whether you're sharing with family, your partner, friends or total strangers.  It's equally important to understand what your rights are if things go wrong.

Letting a room in your home to a lodger can be a good way to make extra money. However, you need to make sure that you've got permission to do this.

Living at home can be tough, especially if you aren't getting on with the people you live with. It's tempting to want to move out, but living on your own or with strangers has challenges too. Get help or advice if you aren't safe at home.

It may not be romantic but it is vital that you know your rights when it comes to your home. Preparing properly will make sure that you are less likely to be caught out if anything happens to your relationship.

Splitting up with a partner is always painful. You may be tempted to just walk away without thinking about what will happen to your home if you split up. This isn't a great solution. You could realise years later that you have made a costly mistake, especially if you owned your home jointly.
